This year’s theme, Ideas in Action, highlights how business analysis concepts shine in the real world. We’re looking for captivating stories that showcase specific techniques, methodologies, or frameworks in action—stories that present business analysis as a driver of meaningful change across various fields.
Have you applied process modelling to streamline services in healthcare? Used agile techniques to optimize delivery in tech? Or perhaps improved teaching outcomes in education through business analysis? This is your opportunity to show how IIBA resources have helped you solve real-world challenges.

How to Enter
Entering is easy! Here’s what you need to do:
Step 1: Craft your blog post
- Length: 1,000 to 1,500 words.
- Focus on how you’ve applied a specific task, technique, or knowledge area from IIBA resources. Include practical examples—whether from industries like healthcare, education, or entertainment—or unique applications in your everyday work.
- Be specific! Illustrate the real-world impact of your methods. Whether you fixed a process bottleneck with stakeholder mapping or achieved agile project success, show exactly how your expertise made a difference.
Step 2: Submit your draft
- Send your draft (along with a short bio and professional headshot) to brand@iiba.org by Friday, April 11
- Be sure to include “Business Analysis Blog Contest: Ideas in Action” in the subject line

- Share your social handles. Include your LinkedIn or other social profiles with your submission—you deserve full credit for your hard work!
