In March 2025, the energy was high, and the ideas flowed as business analysis professionals from across Armenia came together for a landmark meetup—our first step toward establishing the IIBA Armenia Chapter!

This gathering brought together enthusiastic individuals who had expressed interest in forming a local chapter at various times, and it quickly became clear: we’re ready to make it happen.

The evening was full of inspiration and collaboration. We dove into a deep discussion about what an official IIBA chapter could mean for our community. From professional development opportunities to networking, mentorship, and elevating the visibility of business analysis across Armenia, the possibilities felt both exciting and real.

We also got practical. As a group, we explored the next steps in the IIBA chapter application process, discussing how we can work together to check off the requirements and keep the momentum going. Ideas flew around the room on how to grow the profession locally—everything from creating events and training programs to supporting new business analysis professionals and building a shared knowledge base.

Big kudos to the folks who’ve been the heart and soul of this mission: Aram Iskendaryan, Mariam Noreyan, Esfira Ghazaryan, Marina A., Akop Vardanian, Anahit Marutyan, and Arusyak Hovhannisyan. Your passion, persistence, and drive to build something meaningful for our community are what keep this effort moving forward.

And we’re not done yet—far from it! We recently had a call with IIBA’s Chapter Operations Team for more guidance on how to make the chapter official. It’s a big step, and we’re ready.

If you’re passionate about business analysis and want to shape the future of the profession in Armenia, this is your moment. Get involved, join IIBA, and be part of building something impactful from the ground up. We’re not just creating a chapter, but also a community where business analysis professionals can thrive—and we’d love to have you along for the ride.

Let’s make it official and make it awesome. The IIBA Armenia Chapter is on its way!
